Medals

The image to the left are several of the medals/awards which were available to ex-PNGVR soldiers. The Australian medals are still available for those who qualify. The Papua New Guinean medals are no longer available to members. You may qualify for other medals if you served in Vietnam or through long service in the Defence Forces.

The Efficiency Medal or Efficiency Decoration may also be applicable if you hold completed 13 years CMF service either in a non-commissioned role or commissioned officer respectively.

4. PNG Independence Medal, 1975
5. PNG 10th Independence Anniversary Medal, 1975-85
6. PNG 30th Independence Anniversary Medal, 1975-2005
7. PNG 50th Anniversary Defence Force Medal, 1940-1990
